Knife of Dreams by Robert Jordan
3.0

SO; enjoyed this one quite a step up more from Book 10 as in this book all the stuff happens that readers have basically been waiting for since books...I don't know 3-4-5 depending. Also the "men are idiots/women are manipulative" junk was kept to a minimum (really wondering if Sanderson will riff on that or not in Book 12). This has been one of the few books that I wasn't pushing myself forward with the simple joy that I find in reading, but instead going: what happens next? Or maybe I should say rather not "what happens next" but rather a "I know what's going to happen but -how- is it going to happen"; so yes I stayed up a bit late for this one: which is one of the best parts of reading, n'est pas?

Probably only one section I didn't really enjoy and that was the Rand bit...that was just; random. Rand-om... Right...any way it was just like LOOK IT'S A FIGHT; your hand's off...no it's not... Yeah.

The other sections though quite fun and exciting: Elayne, Mat, Tuon, Perrin, Falie and probably my favoriate Egwene. Josh told me that the series was really Rand and Egwene's story and this book solidified that.

So yes, I thought this book was a step up...but...it left me feeling with a: well why didn't all of this happen sooner? The Wheel of Time almost feels like one of those fold-up pictures from the Mad Magazine: Look it's a picture of a rambling Epic Fantasy series *fold* oh no wait it's a closely written precise fantasy series.
