I don’t even know what to say. This is a perfect depiction of an entitled white man in the body of a woman.

Irina is probably the worst person ever, the way she sees men as disposable objects of desire, and how far she goes with it is the best way to describe the patriarchal society we live in.

“I got handsy. It’s hard to just look, isn’t it? It’s hard to look and not touch, not squeeze, or prod, or squash all that soft private skin they show me.”

This is a genius exploration of female desire, gender, class and power dynamics, also a smart remark on the way society works. To make it even more obvious, Irina is literally trying to be this monster of a human, and even when she’s straight forward with it; MEN DON’T taker her seriously.

Eliza Clark is definitely a writer to keep the eye on.
