this was just🤌🤌🤌🤌

it was greatly misadvertised, but luckily i kind of already knew that before reading. even though people on the internet refer to this as an enemies to lovers book, and dont get me wrong it IS, thats not the central focus. the central focus is the mc jude's further decent into morally grey. jude is one of my new favorite characters, like ever, and i would totally do anything she asked me to gladly. this book has more political intrigue than i was told, and i loved every fucking second of it. moreover, the world holly black created is just so fucking good. not everybody's good, and if they can they will probably kill jude with no hesitation. the world always keeps you on your toes and surprises you.

jude and cardan's relationship is just very fascinating. in this book i personally dont even think it qualifies as a romantic relationship, but nonetheless the chemistry is very well done. idk how to even describe their relationship, its like this silent (but not so silent) competition along with a lot of schemes that could kill the other. its very fascinating, and i appreciate it vv much.

one final thought- i wish people talked more about jude and madoc's relationship, its so interesting and i wished people talked about it more
