I really wanted to enjoy this one...I was thinking it would be a middle school fantasy like The Lightning Thief. Sadly it wasn't. A bit long and a bit slow in parts.

Kids with patience will enjoy it because there is definitely a scare-factor element to the story. Grades 6 and up.
