Cowboy Bebop, Vol. 3 by Yutaka Nanten

2.0

Ya know!!!

I love Cowboy Bebop, I do (Especially Ed, who isn't in the live action series, who does a thing like that?!), but I must admit the manga's are falling a little short of my high & groovy expectations.

Volume 1 & 2 sucked me in like a vacuum cleaner does an unfortunate marble, with me rattling about all the way down enjoying them royally!
But I'm beginning to see patterns in the stories. They get very repetitious and while I'm not expecting a full blown Opera with Piccolos here, it is getting a little bit disappointing. Also the characters seem a tad bit off as well...like the artist went TOO cool with Spike, TOO nanny with Jet, TOO nutters with Ed (if that's possible?) and... well actually Faye is Faye, she's okay.

I've decided to quit reading here!
I might take it up again someday one-day, but I worry that if I continue then my sweet innocent love of the stories might be irrefutably damaged!
Nooooooo!!

So for now I still recommend the first two manga and, if you're not too fussy, I say keep going, but let me get me reading something else for a bit now!

See ya Space Cowboy!
