The romance, characterization, and plot are superb in this third installment. Kennedy's prose is compelling and wrought with quotable passages that strike a match. Usually I'm not one to enjoy changing POVs and flashback chapters, but it was done with care and self-awareness of what readers want. The absolute brutality of that one scene tore a little piece of my heart and made me shed a few tears. I absolutely LOVED this book. Favorite in the series by far. Eagerly awaiting Book 4.
