After reading tda, this is just what I needed. Tda was such a flop, I almost lost my hope but then I decided to read this and, God, I did a really good thing.
I missed Jem, I missed Will and I missed the lightwoods so much.
Their children are literally them but even better. I found myself liking even the bastards of this book bc they were so well written.
genuinely happy but, now, I need Alastair and Thomas. a lot of them.
I can't give it a 5 stars bc I didn't particularly feel the love between the characters, or the way they were 'in love', but it's the start and I'm fine with it.
