O Físico Prodigioso by Jorge de Sena

3.0

Weird this little book about a handsome prince who is, in fact, the devil and his beautiful princess who is a witch thirsty for sex and blood. Everything mixes up; the devil saves lives then goes back in time; the devil is an innocent child than a man obsessed with his powers. The devil meets a Machiavellian princess and lives with orgies and fresh water in her castle. The devil is arrested and condemned to death by the Catholics. But yet, the devil touches us; he always seems to want to do good by committing the worst horrors. Maybe this is being evil?
The book's construction, particularly between the poems, the going back in time, the stories on two columns per page (2 different versions of the reports said) You have to follow the book's rhythm, but the writing remains accessible. In any case, Jorge de Sena must have had fun writing his book.
To read for those who love bloody and satanic fairy tales.
