Alluring Temptation by Skye Turner

5.0

In Alluring Turmoil, Skye introduced us to Jude Delecroix. Next, in Alluring Seduction, we met Jessie Adams. Now, in Alluring Temptation, we meet Liam Christianson. And, OH MY GOODNESS! I am pretty sure that Liam is my favorite member (so far!) of the Bayou Stix band. Skye has truly outdone herself with this man.

On the surface, Liam appears to be nothing but a male whore. Women come and go and he does not care about any of them. And, because of this Clove, who is the sister of one of his bandmates, can’t stand him. They are constantly at each other’s throats, but is it really anger or is it a mask for attraction?

Clove and Liam’s journey to a relationship is one of the most realistic I’ve ever read. Both of them have some serious baggage and because of that they both have up a wall and use various defense mechanisms to keep people away from their heart.

I truly enjoyed the previous books in the series, but Alluring Temptation is by far my favorite!!! Skye has written a book that touches on all sensory levels. Each book has some Louisiana flair and you can smell and almost taste the food mentioned. She writes with such great detail, that you can see the landmarks and even imagine the facial expressions of the characters. You can hear the dialogue as it is written in a way that regular, everyday folks can relate to. And, touch – with her books, you want to go inside of them and give hugs, a pat on the shoulder, or even a little more with the men LOL!

Sure, Bayou Stix is a band, but these aren’t your typical rock band books. Skye writes about the heart of each member and focuses on what lies beneath their rock star exterior. In each character (whether a band member, girlfriend, or a friend), I am reminded of something that we all want: someone to look past our looks and our life as the world sees it and to truly get to know us and what is in our heart.

Congrats to Skye Turner on writing another excellent book and I can’t wait for the next one!!!
