Let's Talk About Love by Claire Kann
4.0

I really enjoyed this book. Alice is such a fun narrator - although it's not written in first person, but trust me, she's the narrator - and all the other characters are so distinctive. They all have history and quirks and desires and relationship dynamics with each other which are clear and understandable and memorable. But Alice's friend and career and romantic and independence crises all appear on top of each other, and the book is really about her picked at the threads of each, figuring out how she feels, her course of action, how to spin it with others, and how it relates to the other crises. It's a messy book, and I think that is realistic, if unfortunate if you wanted an "escape" from real life in this book. All the same, the squee moments in this book are very squee-worthy and I was happy for Alice in the end.
