It is a fictional novel of lies, kindness, love, and redemption during WW2. This work was different, and I enjoyed the author's angle for the narration; it was different and clever. It was an easy-to-follow read; the author zoomed in and out and connected the dots as part of the story.

While novel books like this are not history books, the author aligned with events that took place at the time, and this story starts and ends in a particular city in Greece with a high Jewish population. I knew nothing of this city, let alone what happened there during the war. Needless to say, horrible! Always horrible!
