Persepolis: The Story of a Childhood by Marjane Satrapi
5.0
“Don’t ever forget who you are.”
Truly unlike anything I’ve ever read (maybe that’s graphic memoirs for ya). Every page contains a touching/illuminating/horrifying/unthinkable anecdote that you just can’t help but be taken in. The art is stark and simple yet creative. Last panel is a knockout.
