Stay with Me
by Becky Wade
More like 3.5 stars.
I really liked that our main character was a Christian struggling with addiction. It's a real thing Christians struggle with and, like Genevieve, feel shame about. The Christian community needs more open conversation, love, and resources to help those struggling with addiction, and I think books about the topic are a step in the right direction.
I didn't particularly care for the romance (it felt a little dull to me), but really enjoyed the subplot about her family. That part kept me interested and engaged and needing to know what happened next.
I just finished the second book in this series and liked it even better than book 1.
