The Bride Test by Helen Hoang

Lol this was so cringey, especially on audio. I appreciated the book's diverse representation through Asian characters and a main character with autism, but the story itself is extremely lackluster. I love a good steamy scene, and this book has MANY, but this is one instance where there are too many, in my opinion, and the execution of them made me more uncomfortable than anything else. I'd typically chalk it up to the audiobook narrator, but there was just something about the writing that made me cringe. The worst parts were when Esme and Kai first met, and he just constantly kept getting erections around her...it was to the point where I couldn't help but scream "WE GET IT" at my phone.
Though I felt empathy for the main characters and their individual issues/situations, I did not feel connected to them in any way. It's a very predictable romance, which didn't bother me, but I couldn't care less whether they succeeded or not in their personal endeavors.
