There is a lot to be learned from this book, whether you are a scientist or not! I have never seen cold science and universal wisdom so seamlessly woven together. I disagree with other reviewers that you have to be Indian to truly appreciate this book, and I believe that that attitude contradicts what the author stands for. Obviously he was a big supporter of his own country, but that was because he saw his own people losing hope in themselves and wanted to change that. Everyone feels like the underdog at some point in their life, and this book is about taking pride in development and improvement rather than feeling inferior to those who have already developed.
