In the latest book from Chris G. he talks about what it takes to create a side business to supplement one's income, arguing that anyone can do it, and that having a side gig gives a person extra financial security in case of job loss, as well as supplemental income. He covers coming up with side business ideas, figuring out which ones would be most successful, steps to get started, setting prices and marketing, launching, evaluating, etc. Guillebeau is the author of other small business books like $100 Startup and has been a serial entrepreneur. The book includes many stories of people pursuing their business ideas, based on information gathered from his podcast on side hustles. I find all of Chris G.'s books to be very upbeat and encouraging. Anyone starting a business would probably want more detail than this book provides, but it is a great starting point.
