I am DEVASTATED. I should have known. 

I was getting very scared, so I looked up reviews for this book and the next one - this series is a FUCKING LOVE TRIANGLE. Cyrus kidnaps Alizeh, our queen, and I guess they fall in love? But they also don’t do anything, there’s just yearning. They turn my boy Kamran, who was making SUCH good progress, into a completely self concerned whiny baby, and are setting up him AND MISS HODA?! Absolutely not. Remember that whole thing about how Kamran can’t handle ditzy girls? Fuck that, I guess.  

The blurb for the fourth book has Kamran still going after Alizeh, while she’s apparently head over heels, literally about to marry Cyrus - and then they all have to team up? Awesome. I bet there won’t be any awkwardness or hurt feelings disguised as tension.

I guess the next two books take place over the course of days and are really slow? Yeah, no. 

It’s also a FIVE book series, and that long of a series needs some serious plot - turns out we have nothing. 

UGH this is so disappointing. I’m genuinely sad. This was going to be so good.
