First time reader of Freya Sampson, however I've had her first novel on my TBR list for a while. I thought this was a cute, cozy mystery book. This isn't my favorite genre of books, but I did enjoy this one. I loved how this started out as a motley book club group, with people from all different ages, backgrounds, and personalities. There's bound to be some drama with that kind of group, right? What starts out with the mystery of who stole the petty cash, it then just kind of snowballs into so many more little mysteries throughout the book that get solved, and I loved that! I can honestly say that I never had any of the mysteries figured out completely, although I definitely had my suspicions on a few. That just comes from reading so many thrillers and mysteries I suppose. LOL Truly loved all the characters and their side stories. My only complaint was the finale fell a little flat to me. There was one little loose end that got tied up that felt rushed or kind of like it came out of left field on how the amateur sleuths figured it out. Otherwise, if you're a lover of Agatha Christie, you will also love this book!
