I absolutely loved this book. I recently became a huge Shusterman fan this year after reading Scythe, and got completely caught up in Unwind. When I realized he was publishing something new, especially set in a place that I call home, I practically fangirl’ed.

This book is so beautifully written. It’s tragic, heart breaking, terrifying, and has so many dynamic elements and character relationships that it’s now one of my favorites. I was only a bit disappointed at the end, I felt the ending might have been a bit rushed and I would have liked more details or explanation on why things played out the way they did, but I suppose that’s just me saying I wanted more of the book.

Its a survival masterpiece good for a large variety of people and ages, and will make a great movie.
