Summary: Colby Mills is a hard-working farmer taking a short vacation in Florida to focus on his music. There he meets Morgan Lee, an aspiring musician herself, and is instantly smitten. As they bond over music and share about their lives and upbringings the question arises of how they could ever make their relationship last.

Beverly is on the run from her abusive husband with her 6 year old son, Tommie. She lands in a small town and does her best to provide for her and her son, while becoming increasingly paranoid that somehow her husband has managed to find them.

Review: I typically enjoy most Nicholas Sparks novels. In Dreamland I really enjoyed the 2 different perspectives provided. Instead of it having the perspective of each half of the main couple it instead shows the perspectives of Colby and Beverly. Seeing how their stories end up connecting at the end took me almost completely by surprise (I figured it out only just a little before the big reveal). I will say that I was much more invested in Beverly and her effort to provide for her son than Colby's and Morgan's relationship. The romantic aspect didn't grip me as much as other books I've read by Sparks.
