craniumslows 's review for:
Siddhartha
by Hermann Hesse
I read this book in high school , and while I enjoyed it I did not quite recognize the impact it had on word view. Reading it again closer to the age of Siddhartha as a ferryman than as a Samana it is as fulfilling as before.
Women are not very well represented, but in a story of a man searching for enlightenment thousands of years ago written by a man over a hundred years ago it is not a huge surprise.
If you approach this book with an open mind I think you'll find it enjoyable. The Gutenberg press version of the book has a few spots where of turns to if and other minor aberrations.
