This book.....AMAZING. Why did I take so long to read? I decided to read this to prepare for Snapshot (be aware, you can read as standalones, I have chosen to read this prior for context), and this rates way more than 5 stars. Every woman should read this, especially those of us who relate to Avery (the FMC) like I can. IYKYK.

Avery is the FMC, recently dumped by her boyfriend and business partner of four years, Mason, on her birthday. He implies it's her, her appearance, she makes no effort, there is no sex to speak of, and he is done. Avery already struggles with her appearance, but has become comfortable with Mason and found herself willing to settle. There is her best friend of 20 years, Palmer, whom she always turns to for advice and, lets just say, I think alot of us who have Avery inside of us, have, for sure, had a Palmer.

Finn is the guy of your dreams, and the guy you could never imagine yourself with. He is HotAF, and just, well let's just ask, where can I sign up for lessons.......lol Finn is the next door neighbour for when Avery finds herself, post the dumping, "fish sitting" for the owner, and needing a place to heal her heart. Avery asks something special of Finn, and let's just say, that where Avery finds herself, so too does Finn. And OMG he can call me Queen and Good Girl ANYTIME HE WANTS. This was one of the most empowering, amazing reads for me, and, absolutely, there was tears, as the reality of my own experiences with this came crashing in. As I say, with reading some of the tropes in books I love, I find healing. And, it acknowledges a past where I felt alone, but I now know, I absolutely wasn't. This book, honestly, amazing, and Finn, joins my stable of hot book boyfriends.
