I picked this up to read about someone with shifting abilities. If I wanted to read about a girl who can't shift because she's not the Shifter I would just examine my own life.
None of the characters are likable. There was the apprentice who was okay but he served no purpose and I can't even remember his name.
This could have been so good if it were written with a different plot.
