This book was an informative read, however, the title and description did not accurately reflect the content of the book. The scope of the content was fairly limited to COVID and maternal health within an American context. It also heavily focused on recounting individuals’ experiences, which is of course important but there was not a particularly strong focus on the ways in which healthcare systems and government as major contributors.
