Dial A for Aunties is a book with strong romantic comedy vibes. Things just keep going wrong, but the tone of the writing definitely leads the audience to believe there will be a happy ending. The main character finds herself in a difficult predicament, however the story is told with lots of light-heartedness and humor. I don't think all of the jokes landed for me, but there were a few good ones that had me laughing out loud, and overall it was an entertaining read.

The summary is a bit misleading in that it emphasizes the reappearance of Meddy's ex in the middle of her trying to dispose of a body on the same day as a wedding she is working at, however the romance is nowhere near as important as the summary makes it sound. Their initial relationship is mentionned in the beginning to establish how much Meddy still cares about Nathan, and the guy doesn't show up for a while.
And the guy doesn't need much winning over, so that bit of the story falls flat.

I flew through the audiobook, I basically listened to it any time I could!
