I listened to the audio book via Audible.
No. Just no. At first i had enjoyed this book (just the first few chapters anyway). I thought the story would get better and be filled with adventure and a powerful female lead. I was proven wrong very early on. This book is demeaning, degrading, sexist and homophobic. It annoyed me to the point i wanted to punch a wall.
I had thought the main character would grow more bold and brave, however all she ever said was "i'm sorry baby" (for wanting to make her own decisions), "oh my sweet husband" (after he makes decisions on her behalf and tells her he is a man and it's his right).
I just couldn't take it. It was so horrible and ruined my mood every time i listened to it. Will not be continuing this series.
