Reading Stormlight Archive is a huge COMMITMENT!
I was amazed by the brilliance of Stormlight books when I started reading this and yes I was pretty disappointed. The story was slow and boring, some of the chapters seemed complete drag. And no matter how much I loved Shallan in the second book I was really close to hating her in this one (I still am disappointed this character). I felt this way for more than half the book. I
Then Sanderson's magic blew my mind off in the last few pages. He is the KING of endings. The last chapters were utter brilliance, held lots and lots of wow moments. It really reflects how much effort he puts in building his stories.
And DALINAR! Nothing I say about him can do this character justice. I was already in awe with his character from the first book and this one added so much to him. His character arc is one of the most wholesome one I've ever read.
