-went from spooky/haunted horror to science creature feature horror
-very descriptive settings and scenes; gory descriptions of people being killed
-different POVs, lots of characters. couldn’t tell apart the police officers
-good explanation of the “ancient evil” how it came to be, its appearance, and how it operated
