Half the World
by Joe Abercrombie
Despite how much “will they, won’t they” romances annoy me, I enjoyed this book quite a bit. Yarvi coming into his own as a “deep cunning” man and Brand’s pure heart were highlights to me. Most of the “twists” were easy enough to pick up early on but even if I knew they were coming, I enjoyed how the results often were not the common, “good defeats evil”. Also, I really hope “the breaker of swords” has a bigger role in the third book. The verbal jousting between he and Yarvi are always a highlight to me.
