Tell Me What You Did
by Carter Wilson
Poe Webb witnessed her mother’s murder when she was 13. However, no one knows. She went mute for months after the murder, never telling her father or the police what she saw. Now, at 30, she runs a podcast allowing people to confess their crimes. These people do use a video feed, but they can choose to provide their real name or a fake name. Poe’s followers are smart people that can sometimes figure out their identity. Poe’s interview does not provide any protection; and sometimes her subjects go to jail. Yet, people still agree to come on the podcast. Her latest subject claims to have murdered her mother. Poe doesn’t believe this person because she thinks that she already killed her mother’s murderer. So, who is this guy and how does he know so much about her mother? This book was so intense from the beginning to the end. Once I hit 80%, I literally could not stop listening. There were some twists and turns, but the ending made sense.
