This book would probably have to be my favorite in this series so far. It had a deeper plot and made me cry. Kimberly has a lot of pressure regarding her weight with her terrible mother and develops disordered eating from it. Not only is she dealing with her mother's cruel words and actions, she's also dealing with losing Xander as one of her best childhood friends for some unknown reason. Not only are they no longer friends, he's become her enemy. He's so horrible toward her. He doesn't just ignore her, he is mean with his words when she's around (they have mutual friends).
I liked that this book had real life problems in it, a crazy plot twist, and isn't all about inappropriate sexual encounters. The previous books had some of the dumbest spice scenes at the most inopportune and inappropriate times. This book was not like that and I appreciated that.
Graphic: Eating disorder
