‘That would make it simple, wouldn’t?’ he said, nodding. ‘And Remy likes simple. You think you have everything figured out, that you can chart my reaction and what I’m saying on some little graph you keep tracked away. But life isn’t like that.’
‘Oh really?’ I said. ‘Then what is it like? You tell me.’
‘I meant what I said to you. I wasn’t playing some kind of summer game. Everything I said was true, from the first day. Every goddamn word.’
I had this copy laying around for the past three months and never had the interest of opening it until I put it in my bag and read it during class. Completely finished it in a matter of 3 subjects.
It was such a fast-paced, romcom vibe book with the funniest (and very realistic) friendship ! I think it lacked diversity, it’s something I look forward to the most in books but there was very little of it here.
The characters were so funny & Remy’s mom reminded me of Evelyn Hugo from TSHOEH LMAO
Super cute, Sarah Dessen definitely has a way with words with teenagers like me ! 4/5 !
