The Prom Queen by R.L. Stine

mysterious tense fast-paced
Plot or Character Driven: Plot

I was VERY nervous to read the book after watching Fear Street: The Prom Queen on Netflix a couple weeks ago, but I can happily say that these two stories are completely different.

The movie adaptation of this book isn't great; I was honestly disappointed in the plot line and lack of everything that the original trilogy gave us four years ago. I could seriously go on about the movie being bad, but this is a book review, so back to that.

This vibes of this book were immaculate. Every Fear Street book I've read is written with childish suspense, nothing too scary for the younger audience, but spooky enough to get them into the thriller genre. Probably my favorite book in the Fear Street series so far.

Thank you, Simon Teen, for sending me an ARC of this new edition of The Prom Queen!
