This was so good! I read this in just a few days and was constantly wanting to go back and pick it up to continue. I'm honestly beyond impressed by Tahereh Mafi's ability to always make me want to turn the page and just do one more chapter. I sometimes find in multi-POV books that I have a favorite, or that I'm slogging through one POV to get to another, or I'm not as interested in one character vs the other. In this book, there were times I couldn't decide what plot I was most excited to follow (I mean it was Alizeh's, but Kamran's was also so so good), and I was excited to continue each part of the story.

I'm in awe of the fact that I was so hooked the entire time even though the entire book covered the events of just a few days and a lot happened, and yet there wasn't a ton of movement in the plot. I think it speaks to the exceptional writing that I am still so invested. I loved the addition of Cyrus. His character is so multi-layered and love everything about him.  I'm so worried about what's going to happen in the next book. I need him to be okay and happy!

Again, I can't recommend this enough. I absolutely love this series so far and am excited to continue!
