I really enjoyed the story of Henry and of Addie finding themselves as they found each other. As characters I found them equally compelling on their own as they were together. That being said it felt like the best parts of the conclusion were undermined by Addie continuing on with Luc (he feels like the weakest part of this book) To me it makes her final sacrifice feel a little hollow. Yes, Henry gets to live but it doesn’t feel like Addie really gave up anything. She got a new life with a new (magic) boyfriend and it just feels mind of tacked on to the end. It just feels at odds with the events leading up to it. Over all an enjoyable read and I see why it has made a mark on so many readers.
