ugh. it took me so long to pick this up for some silly reason, but god it’s so so beautiful. maurice is one of my favorite movies, and reading the book that is was based on was a long time coming. part one had to be my favorite, and the tone shift after clive gets sick and the innocence of young queer love disappears made me very sad :(
