Song of the Lioness, Book 1: Alanna: A Graphic Novel Adaptation
by Tamora Pierce
adventurous
fast-paced
My favorite part of this graphic novel adaptation was the art. It was very colorful and I really enjoyed it. However, the writing part of this adaptation was as a whole not great. It wasn’t as bad as the First Test graphic novel adaptation, but it wasn’t great either. The writing was very basic to the point that it felt like it was talking down to the reader. Especially when compared to the novel. To be honest, I would just suggest reading the original novel if you are interested in the series.
Moderate: Bullying, Racism, Sexism, Xenophobia, Colonisation
