Version Zero by David Yoon

Did not finish book. Stopped at 11%.
I really wanted to like this book. The concept seems interesting enough, Max is a tech guy working for a Facebook-equivalent when he stumbles upon files showing the company is selling its data to huge organizations. He confronts his boss, he gets fired, and he decides he’s going to be the hero? Vigilante? Idk, but he decides he’s going to reboot the internet. That story has so much potential, it could have been very Mr Robot, but the writing is just absolutely fucking horrible. It feels juvenile and crass, the dialogue between the characters is SO cringey, and the wording is redundant. Quit after about 50 pages. Meh.
