Unnecessary Drama by Nina Kenwood
5.0
When I heard about the premise of this book I HAD to read it. Pretty much everyone knows that you can't become romantically involved with someone you flat share with, it is a cardinal sin. It does however make the perfect setting for a romance novel. I've seen this book labelled young adult but I think it fits more into the new adult basket. I thought I might not enjoy this book, that I might have outgrown the new adult genre but considering I read this one in one sitting it is safe to say I'm not done with this genre yet!
Nina Kenwood infuses the correct amount of humour, sass and reliability in this book. There is a self-awareness of romance tropes which was tongue-in-cheek. I loved the higher weighting of Harper and Penny, they did not feel shoe-horned in like other supporting characters often do in romance novels. This book was heart-warming and overall just such a good time, I whole-heartly recommend!
