TW for Credence: incest, sexual assault (including “non-con”)
i originally got this book since it was so highly rated and i wanted something ~spicy~ to read but while it was fast paced/short enough to keep me interested enough to finish it, i could never really get “into” it because it leaned so heavily into the incest stuff, to put it bluntly. the scenes with Jake were okay (if toeing the line when they kept bringing up the “uncle” of it all), but the threesomes with Kaleb and Noah were just off putting for me.
i am also personally uncomfortable with non-con so i didn’t really enjoy most of the scenes with Kaleb nor the fact that they ended up together .
finally, the “character development” felt more like a sudden switch than something that was earned.
if none if that stuff phases you, then you’ll probably enjoy this book. but to me, it was a little hard to get past.
