To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee
5.0

If I'm asked to recommend just one book , it would be this.

A coming of age novel which takes us trough the different emotions & complex life situations as seen by the protagonist ,Scout . Growing up she learns the two sides of humans , of social inequalities & how they shape life chances, more often the hard way . This book also throws light on the importance of moral education at home [Atticus & Calpurnia ] & its impact on shaping attitudes , behaviour & checking cognitive biases . And most importantly it makes us readers empathize with characters from all socio-economic backgrounds and teaches us the beauty and power of moral courage & integrity .

Overall an engaging read , every page is worth the time .The way author has used symbolism [mocking bird ,rabid dog ,physical challenges ] is commendable.
A brilliant work IMO
