The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, Vol. 1 by Alan Moore

4.0

A pleasure to read, every character in the book seems to be pulled from some other piece of literary fiction. I especially enjoyed when a new character would be introduced that I wasn't familiar with, a quick Google search would pull up the background of this or that individual and provide the context for why Moore chose him or her. This caused the book to take 3 times longer to read, but it was worth it. Understanding who these characters are within their own fiction is what makes having them show up in Moore's work, so much fun.
