All of the Discworld end up revealing a few new nuggets upon each reread that I previously missed, be it clever jokes or thought-provoking lines. Small Gods however feels like it's able to offer more than a few new nuggets with each revisit - instead it feels like I am able to discover a new little treasure trove. And that's why while the other DIscworld have jostled about and changed positions in my personal rankings over time, Small Gods has consistently remained one of my favorites of the entire series from the very first time that I read it.
