well that was a twist that i did not see coming. not only did i enjoy the mystery of this novel but i also enjoyed the commentary from willingham about societal expectations for mothers and just women in general that can lead to devastating effects. women are strong but they’re not invincible and shouldn’t be treated as such. i’m really glad i listened to the authors note because it gave a lot more insight into the nuance of the characters.
