This was so brilliant. It's like a series of twelve linked short stories and I don't think I've read anything else like it. The writing is excellent, making for vividly drawn, memorable characters. I often didn't want to leave a character at the end of their chapter, but then I'd become almost immediately invested in the next one's life. It's completely deserving of the Booker Prize win (and so much better than The Testaments in my opinion). It's been months since I first decided I wanted to read it and it was completely worth the wait from the library.
