The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller

5.0

i finished it months ago and still haven’t stopped thinking about it. madeline miller is so insanely talented and i feel that this is such a unique and brilliant take on homer’s iliad. telling the story from patroclus’s point of view is so interesting and captivating and the relationship between patroclus and achilles is so well developed and beautifully, beautifully written, making certain events so heartbreaking—in the best way possible.

well worth a read and is definitely my favorite book of all time.
