Around the World in Eighty Games: From Tarot to Tic-Tac-Toe, Catan to Chutes and Ladders, a Mathematician Unlocks the Secrets of the World's Greatest Games by Marcus du Sautoy

4.0

I enjoyed learning the origins of a lot of the classic games I've played over the years and others I've only heard of and most of all hearing about games that have been around for centuries that I've never heard of and would love to play one day. That said, there was a lot of ground covered that wasn't new territory for me, which is completely understandable and unavoidable, but left parts of the book feeling superfluous.
