So it’s exactly 5:24am, I’ve just finished #thetattooistofauschwitz and I am utterly speechless. I’ve had so many people message me and tell me how amazing is it and it’s safe to say you were all right! 🤩
Helen Morris’ writing is beautiful but also haunting, as she tells the tale of an extraordinary love story during some of the most horrific years in the history of time. It was a rollercoaster of emotions; from happiness, sadness and confusion to fear, frustration, anger and resentment. Of course there are many different ways of finding out about Auschwitz, but when it’s written in front of you and you get soaked into the pages and story, it becomes a lot more personal. There are things I never knew or thought about written in the book and it’s insane to think it actually happened, some pages being a lot harder to swallow than others, but what comes with the book are lessons. Lessons in loyalty, lessons in morality and humanity and lessons in love; all pretty important lessons if you ask me.
Basically, read this book...but clear a few days for it - you won’t be able to put it down 🤓📚
