The Kind Worth Saving
by Peter Swanson
I just love Henry and Lily. I know I shouldn't love a murderer, but Lily is just so likeable and loyal it's hard not to.
The murder in this story wasn't as grabbing as the first, but I love the secret Bonnie & Clyde relationship. Joan is a scary manipulative person. How she thought she could get anyone to do anything for her, even murder, was very narcissistic. I liked the twist at the beginning and following along with Joan and Richard and their plans.
Lily does it yet again. She protects the people she cares about even though her methods are not the way to do it. Her dedication to going into character and how her mind works so fast, if things don't go the way she wanted them to the first time around.
I feel bad for Henry, because it feels like he can't do anything right. He's smart but just gets himself into trouble when he should see it coming.
