Something Blue by Emily Giffin
3.0
If I could give this book 2.5 stars I probably would but settled on 3 to round up.
I had read the first book of this series and loved it so I figured I would love this book just as much. To be fair I read something borrowed ages ago so maybe my taste has just changed but I did not enjoy this book as much as I thought I would.
I had read that it got better after the first 100 pages or so and I will agree that it did improve but I never fully understood Darcy's character in this book.
I also felt like this book switched between two speeds either painfully slow and warp speed. One minute it takes you 30 pages to read about the day to day activities of Darcy's life at that part of the story then the next minute you'll read 3-4 story altering details or events within 3 pages. A bit annoying. For this reason the book seemed very boring even though a lot happened because in 75% of the book nothing was going on, the action or big things happened on the other 25% of the pages. Could just be me, I am not sure if others felt this way but it is just my opinion.
